The stark beauty of Iceland is a wonder to photograph. The Stokksnes Black Sand Beach with its surreal ice formations is something to behold. It’s also a place to take extra care … my camera and I were dunked by a wave that caught me by surprise. The beautiful small shaggy horses befriended our party and were a delight to photograph. Icelandic law protects these horses by not allowing exported horses to return. The amazing Northern Lights (Aurora borealis) dancing in the sky looked so faint. It’s amazing how modern digital cameras can record what our eyes barely see.
