Laos and Cambodia

A selection of images from a recent photography tour of Laos and Cambodia I escorted for World Expeditions.  This is a land of beautiful, gentle, peaceful people whose forebears have endured far more than their fair share of tragedy.

The children especially were so easy to approach, and they were totally relaxed about me photographing them. A few who could speak English actually thanked me for photographing them. I considered it a privilege that they allowed me to.

Its easy to forget about life when wandering through this land and its many idyllic temples. Here, life slows down to a crawl, and gives one time to reflect.
